@NotYourTypicalNegro Thank you for clarifying. Thats what following Christ is all about. Be blessed
@JosiahOwnz4Ever, in my last comment I referred you to Malachi 1:6 to Malachi 2:9 which is IN THE BIBLE. So why would you ask me if I think the bible is relevant in these times?
Please pay attention and do as I suggested earlier: Read your bible carefully.
@NotYourTypicalNegro Ohhhhh. . So the bible isnt relevant to these times?
Malachi 1:6 to Malachi 2:9
Please read you bible carefully, @JosiahOwnz4Ever. It’s 2010, and NO CHRISTIAN should be quoting that scripture in support of tithing.
malachi 3:8-10
@NotYourTypicalNegro My point, The words we speak and what we call ourselves are very important. The disciples were not called christians by jesus (Yahusha). Yahusha himself was not a christian so why must we call ourselves christian?
@towanzaify, the words “Christ” and “Christian” are in the New Testament writings and derived from the Greek word “Χριστός”. So obviously, they would not be found in the Hebrew Bible.
However, the word “Χριστός” is a Greek form of the Hebrew word “Messiðav”, which is indeed found in the Hebrew bible.
So I don’t understand what your point is.
@NotYourTypicalNegro If you would read the Hebrew Bible the word christian and christ are not there, even when translated the words are not there. We must study to show ourselves approved. Let no man deceive you, for the end is near! If you only study the king james bible you are limited. I am studying words, Hebrew and english. The words we speak and what we call ourselves are very important.
@towanzaify, Acts 11:26 says: “”And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. ”
I am amazed at how people take issue with the name “Christian”, when it is clearly a biblically apt description of one who is a disciple of Christ.
It is an absolute and complete waste of time to be worrying about such a thing, when it has absolutely nothing to do with how Christ commanded we should live or obtaining eternal life through Him.
Good day.
I agree with you on some things, tithing, and exposing the liars and hypocrites, but one thing I don’t understand is why do you call yourself a christian? We who are true believers in the Almighty are not christians. If you would research the word christian you would find out were the word came from. Please research . I hope I did not offend you in any way.
@KingdomLifeToday, I keep trying to end this conversation on some kind of positive note, but for some reason you won’t allow it.
I will pay you or donate to any ministry of your choosing the sum of $10,000 US in cash is you can provide one single, solitary example of me personally attacking anyone.
Now you will never collect on that, sir, because what you seem not to understand is that I intentionally avoid attacking people, and instead focus on their public behavior and teachings.
@NotYourTypicalNegro Your not getting negative attention because you are opposing doctrine, but because you are attacking people. And you do it with such hostility. That is not the spirit of Christ. The servant of the Lord must not strive. If you were truely concerned with the preservation of doctrine, you would be equally or even more protective of and compassionate of people. I say again, leave personalities alone and teach the WORD. Leave the people to God. They are His not yours.
congradulations on being debt free brotha. there are definatly too many churches getting poeple in debt, and not showing them how to get out. God does not want his people to be slaves, and most churches seem not to remember that the borrower is slave to the lender. you are right, debt is definately a curse. good for you, brotha. thats setting a great example for your son aswell. my dad, a minister no less, tried to teach me to pay a credit card off with a credit card with a credit card.

@BoracayOcean69
Where in the bible does it say that the tithe is money?
@Rapturenow
I know thats right!!!!
but if i throw a can of corn or a handful of nuts in the plate. . . . im wrong and/or crazy!
amen! GREAT TESTIMONY, LET MAN BE A LIAR AND GOD TRUTH, BECAUSE IF THAT WAS TRUE ABOUT TITHING YOU WOULD OF BEEN CURSE AFTER 5 YRS OF NOT TITHING, BLESSING UPON YOU BRO
Christ’s “once and for all” sacrifice was not only effectual as it relates to payment for “sin”, but ALSO in complete and utter ABOLISHING of THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW OF MOSES — which included the following:
-The rendering of DEAD animal and food offerings (the “tithe” was one of many required offerings)
-The Levitical Priesthood (which presented these offerings)
-The Temple (maintained by the priesthood and where these offerings were presented)
God accepts LIVING offerings; not dead ones.
hossnhousexpress, I’ve provided biblical support ad nauseum as follows:
Heb 10 – “Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices. . . but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time. . . Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin. ”
Christ’s offering of Himself ABOLISHED the temple and priesthood, and ended all DEAD offerings. God now only accepts LIVING offerings (Rom 12:1; 1 Pet 2:5; Heb 13:15).
Once again, an interesting bit of testimony, my friend. I praise God on your behalf. However, “. . . God is not accepting sacrifice (or, sacrificial giving?) from us, any more”, you say? Could you elucidate, elaborate, do backflips, hand-stands or whatever it takes to qualify that remark, scripturally? As is, it is rather ambigious, certainly moot and as near as I can tell, biblically non-sustainable.
@Rapturenow You are incorrect: Remember Cain in the book of Genesis? He gave his ofering of plants (Vegtables) and his offering was rejected. BTW the TITHE is money, not food or meals.
I stopped tithing about a year and a half ago. I have more money now than I ever had when I was tithing. I am a Christian and believe in the Gospel of Christ 100% but the tithing thing is twisted and unbiblical
krisnobles, that’s good news. However, I wasn’t implying in this video that leaving the church altogether improves your life. But leaving a BAD one most certainly does.
I get where you’re coming from. My life improved also when I left the church I used to be a member of, ironically about 5 or 6 years ago also.
DoGodsWill, I have absolutely no idea of what your’re talking about.
